- Do my capital credits earn interest?

-
Your capital credit money is already working to help your cooperative cover costs. Allocations (or capital credits not yet returned to our members) help fund distribution system improvements for more reliable electric service.
We have an obligation as a cooperative to return capital credit earnings to our member-owners. However, there may be years when we will not be able to issue capital credit refunds if we feel it would hinder our ability to continue to operate in a financially responsible manner for the benefit of our member-owners. The return of capital credits must be approved by the cooperative board of directors.
