Commercial and Other Meter Bases (above 400 amp capacity)

Residential Meter Bases With Generator Transfer Switches

Single phase, 200 amp capacity meter bases with a built-in manual transfer switch are available for an extra charge. These special meter bases are perfect for safely hooking up your portable generator. They are equipped with a utility/generator transfer switch which prevents both sources from feeding power into the home at the same time, which could create a dangerous situation.
