Energy for Wildlife
Great Lakes Energy is a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s (NWTF) Energy for Wildlife program. The program supports scientific wildlife management on public, private and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport. We use the program to help landowners enhance wildlife habitat on their rights-of-way and work with the NWTF to support wildlife habitat projects on state and federal property in our service area.
In addition, each year we sponsor an event that encourages young people to support wildlife habitats in their communities. The following videos feature our projects for 2008 and 2009.
PLEASE NOTE: If the video starts and stops, press play, and then immediately press pause. Allow the video to download to 100%, which may take some time depending on your Internet connection speed. After it has downloaded to 100%, move the play bar back to the beginning to restart the video without interruption.
