GLE Brings Safety Demonstrations to You

March 23, 2015

In 2014, nearly 3,000 people (mainly fourth through seventh grade students) in our service area saw GLE’s electrical safety demonstrations.
This spring, our safety demo team takes to the road again with their electrical display trailer. They’ll visit schools along with road commissions and fire departments. Mounted to the trailer is a portable power line energized at 7,200 volts that lets children clearly see the danger when tree branches, antennas and other objects touch the line.
Whether working atop a utility pole or behind a desk, everyone at GLE participates in a comprehensive safety program. Safety is everyone’s job here.
Part of the value GLE brings its members is to bring our safety message to area schools and groups. The information we share with youngsters and adults could save lives. There’s nothing more important than that.
If you’d like information on bringing a safety demonstration to your school or organization, fill out our online form. We’ll contact you about an available date.
Learn more about the program by viewing our video on YouTube.
