Three Openings on GLE Board of Directors

Petitions are now available to nominate candidates for open board positions in three GLE districts. Qualifying members who reside in districts 1, 2 or 7 and wish to seek election to the cooperative’s board of directors are encouraged to obtain petitions soon.
COUNTIES BY DISTRICT ARE:
District 1 – Emmet
District 2 – Charlevoix, Cheboygan
District 7 –Muskegon, Oceana
To get their names on the ballot, qualifying members who maintain a primary residence within GLE’s service area must file a nominating petition. Petitions must be signed by at least 50 active members within the candidate’s district. All petitions must be signed no more than 90 days prior to submission to the cooperative.
Signed petitions returned by mail or in person must be received in the co-op’s Boyne City office no earlier than Thursday, May 28, 2015, and no later than Friday, June 12, 2015.

Members in districts 1, 2 and 7 will elect one candidate from within their district. Mail-in ballots will be sent with the July/August 2015 issue of Michigan Country Lines. Winners will be announced Aug. 26 at the GLE annual business meeting.
