Be comfortable this summer by taking advantage of rebates on energy-efficient cooling equipment.
Energy Optimization (EO) rebates are available with the purchase of central air conditioners, ceiling fans, and heat pumps that meet the EO program’s energy efficiency standards.
Rebates for lighting and other appliances are also available.
Visit www.michigan-energy.org/ for more information on how Great Lakes Energy can keep you comfortable and save you money, too.
I would like to replace my 30 year old air conditioner and furnace. Are there any rebates available from Great Lakes Energy?
Larry, we do offer rebates on heat pumps (both air source and geothermal) from both Great Lakes Energy and GLE’s Energy Optimization program. Heat pumps provide you with an energy efficient way of heating and cooling your home. Visit https://www.gtlakes.com/energy-efficiency/#heat-pump-rates-rebates, give us a call at 1-888-485-2537 ext. 8957, or email us at [email protected] for more information. Thanks for your inquiry!
I do wish that replacement windows and patio doors were included with these rebates. Our current windows are 25 years old and not as energy efficient as they were at one time.
I installed four Nest “e” thermostats on all of my heating zones this past late Spring (2020). Are there any rebates for these devices. Thank you.
Hello! Sorry for the late reply. You can take a look here: https://www.michigan-energy.org/products/GreatLakes. It looks like there is a $75 rebate for qualified wi-fi enabled thermostats.
I just replaced all the windows in our house, are there rebates for that?
Hi, Rachel! Unfortunately, new windows will not qualify for any Energy Optimization rebates through GLE. However, we suggest making a pass through the EO site to see the full scope of rebates available. https://www.michigan-energy.org/utility/GreatLakes
