Three Directors Re-elected to Great Lakes Energy Board

Three incumbents who ran unopposed in their districts were re-elected by mail-in ballots to the Great Lakes Energy Board of Directors.

Re-elected by GLE members in their districts to three year terms were Ric Evans, of Ellsworth, District 3; Larry Monshor, of Gaylord, District 4 and Dale Farrier, of Kalkaska, District 5.

Evans received 282 votes, Monshor 295 votes and Farrier 260 votes.

Evans is an energy consultant and presenter. Farrier is office manager for the Antrim County Road Commission. Monshor is a CPA and engineer-manager.

Great Lakes Energy members in District 3 (Antrim County), District 4 (Otsego, Montmorency, Oscoda, Crawford counties) and District 5 (Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Manistee, Missaukee, Wexford counties)  received their mail-in ballot in the July/August issue of Michigan Country Lines magazine. Voters had to return their ballots to a private CPA firm by Aug. 17 and winners were announced Aug. 23 at the cooperative’s annual business meeting in Boyne City.
