Schools in or near the Great Lakes Energy service area that serve children of GLE members can receive a classroom grant of up to $2,000 for the 2017-2018 school year.
Teachers may apply through Nov. 3, 2017 for classroom grants to help fund innovative school programs. Projects involving technology, equipment or materials that enhance current and future student learning will be given preference.

In 2016, GLE awarded $22,267 in grants for 13 classroom projects, bringing the total of grants since the program began in 2012 to $97,709.
