Vote for GLE Directors

If you’re a GLE member in district 1, 2 or 7, you will receive a mail-in ballot with your July/August issue of Michigan Country Lines.

Members in each district will vote to fill one director opening with three directors to be elected for three-year terms.

District areas are:

  • District 1 – Emmet County
  • District 2 – Charlevoix and Cheboygan Counties
  • District 7 – Oceana and Muskegon Counties

The terms of directors Paul Byl of Shelby (District 7), Mark Carson of Boyne City (District 2) and Paul Schemanski of Petoskey (District 1) expire this year. The three incumbents plan to seek re-election to GLE’s board of directors.

In addition to the mail-in ballot, the candidates’ profiles will appear in the July/August election issue that will be sent to members in districts 1, 2 and 7. Other members will not receive election information with their issue.

If you live in one of the three districts holding elections this year, please vote for the candidate of your choice. It’s the cooperative difference and your right and privilege as a co-op member to elect the directors—who are fellow co-op members—that govern GLE.

Election winners will be announced Aug. 22 at the cooperative’s annual business meeting in Boyne City.
