Outage Restoration Continues for Great Lakes Energy Members

Approximately 5,000 Great Lakes Energy (GLE) members are without power following restoration efforts through yesterday evening and this morning. GLE line crews from throughout the GLE service territory have been dispatched and are working to restore service for affected members. Contract crews and mutual aid support from other cooperatives are also supporting restoration efforts.

Outages are reported across ten counties throughout the Great Lakes Energy service territory. Areas most impacted by outages are Antrim and Emmet counties. Current outage information by county can be accessed on the Great Lakes Energy website, www.gtlakes.com, by visiting Storm Central.

Great Lakes Energy members are reminded to stay away from downed power lines and to also stay clear of trees and limbs hanging on the lines. For the safety of our members and our staff, please do not approach or engage with line crews working to restore power.

Members are encouraged to enroll in outage notifications to keep informed throughout the restoration process. They can elect to receive updates by text or email by managing service notifications through their online account. Instructions for setting up outage notifications can be found at www.gtlakes.com/opt-in/.

Great Lakes Energy members can report their power outage online, on the Great Lakes Energy app, or by calling 888-485-2537.
