Great Lakes Energy is an electric cooperative, which is a democratic organization controlled by a board of directors. The board is made up of members who actively participate in setting policies and making decisions, and are chosen by YOU— our members.
Qualifications and experience:
- Elected to his first three-year term on Mar. 1, 1984, serving more than 37 years on the GLE board of directors.
- Former Chair and Secretary of GLE Board of Directors.
- Secretary, Wolverine Power Cooperative Board of Directors.
- Chair, Spartan Renewable Energy.
- Director, Michigan Agricultural Commodity Marketing Association – Farm Bureau.Â
- Owns and operates the long-established family farm, Byl’s Lakeview Orchards.Â
