We want Michigan Country Lines, the publication you receive 10 times a year as a member of Great Lakes Energy, to be more than just a magazine. We want you to think of it as your Michigan community.
For that reason, we invite reader content from you, the member-owners of your electric co-op. In fact, you can get paid for submitting content we believe other Michigan co-op members will appreciate. Incentives for content selected to be published range from $50 – $150.
What kind of content?
If you’re a GLE co-op member, you can submit:
- A memory (your fondest memory from your childhood – approximately 200 words)
- A favorite recipe (refer to categories and deadlines)
- A “Best of Michigan” response for various categories (favorite treats, sites, restaurants, etc.)
- A guest column that tells about a significant event or person in your life and lesson(s) learned
If it’s contests you like, try one of these to win a $50 or $200 electric bill credit, respectively:
- “Where In Michigan Is This?” (identify the correct location of the photo in each edition)
- Pay My Bill Photo Contest (submit photos for categories listed and vote for your favorites)
