Sometimes the little things in life and business remind us why we do what we do. Truestream, our high-speed fiber internet and voice service, began with the intent to better the lives of our members. And as members in the Petoskey service area are new receiving the service, we were given the opportunity to not only bring the fastest fiber internet service around to one of our members, but also to throw in a little surprise.
There was much to celebrate for our members, Dave and Brooke Bachelor, this past December. Not only were they about ready to receive life changing internet just in time for Christmas, but the installation was the same day as Brooke’s birthday. To make it even more special, the family was three days away from another life changing event – the due date of their second child.
The day before installation, we quickly went to work on a diaper cake for the family, complete with a homemade ornament topper for the newest little Truestreamer. Cupcakes in one hand and a gigacenter in the other, we showed up to the family’s home ready to celebrate.
“It was a fun experience and a nice welcome for our newest Truestreaming family!” remarked Shari Culver, GLE’s VP of Communications & Member Services who was able to attend the install.
The day ended full of smiles with a family happy to take advantage of their new internet speeds and ready to welcome their newest addition.
