Outage Restoration Continues for Great Lakes Energy Members

Great Lakes Energy (GLE) line crews restored power to more than 6,500 members today. GLE line crews throughout the cooperative service territory, along with contract crews, have been dispatched and are working to restore service for the remaining affected members. Less than 5,000 Great Lakes Energy members are without power.

Outages are reported across ten counties throughout the Great Lakes Energy service territory. Areas most impacted by outages are Muskegon and Oceana counties. Current outage information by county is updated on the Great Lakes Energy website,, by visiting Storm Central.

Great Lakes Energy members are reminded to stay away from downed power lines and to also stay clear of trees and limbs hanging on the lines. For the safety of our members and our staff, please do not approach or engage with line crews working to restore power.

GLE members requiring power should make alternative plans for overnight accommodation if service is not restored by 11 p.m. tonight. For residents with limited options, Michigan 2-1-1 is a local resource available to connect those in need with lodging, food, or assistance. Visit to learn more.

Great Lakes Energy members can report their power outage online, on the Great Lakes Energy app, or by calling 888-485-2537.
