**EMMET COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE OFFERS TRANSPORTATION TO WARMING SHELTERS AMIDST COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS**
Emmet County Sheriff’s Office will provide transportation support for residents in need of access to warming shelters. Residents who lack transportation or means to reach a warming station are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (231) 348-1782. Please provide your address, and they will dispatch a transport van to pick you up and deliver you to the nearest available warming shelter. They are unable to transport pets at this time. They advise residents to bring necessary accommodations, such as medications, oxygen, and extra clothing, to ensure their comfort and health throughout their stay at the shelter.
