Know a local non-profit charitable or community organization that could use a grant? The GLE People Fund is accepting grant applications from throughout its local service area. The upcoming grant application deadline is Oct. 1 with grant funds to be distributed in October.
The People Fund is supported solely by you, our Great Lakes Energy members, by allowing GLE to round up their bill each month to the next dollar. Since 1999, more than $2.88 million in grants have been awarded to organizations throughout our 26-county service area, which stretches from Kalamazoo to the Mackinac Straits. The People Fund awarded just over $206,000 in grants for 2015.
