August 28, 2018 – As of 9:50 PM, more than 14,000 Great Lakes Energy members remain without power after widespread storms moved throughout western Michigan during the past 24 hours.
Crews have been working all day to restore power and are being called in for the night. They will begin restoration efforts again on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 7 AM. If you are without power now, you will remain without power overnight. Crews will be able to assess damage caused by the high winds in the daylight and begin restoration efforts. The safety of our employees and the public is our top priority. Please stay away from downed power lines at all times.
