Storm and Severe Wind Cause Power Outages for Great Lakes Energy Members

More than 11,000 Great Lakes Energy (GLE) members are without power following overnight storm activity. GLE line crews have been dispatched and are working to restore service for affected members.

Outages are reported across fifteen counties throughout the Great Lakes Energy service territory. Areas most impacted by outages are Barry, Mason, Muskegon, Oceana, and Ottawa counties. Current outage information by county is updated on the Great Lakes Energy website, www.gtlakes.com, by visiting Storm Central.

Great Lakes Energy members are reminded to stay away from downed power lines and to also stay clear of trees and limbs hanging on the lines. For the safety of our members and our staff, please do not approach or engage with line crews working to restore power.

Members are encouraged to enroll in outage notifications to keep informed throughout the restoration process. They can elect to receive updates by text or email by managing service notifications through their online account. Instructions for setting up outage notifications can be found at www.gtlakes.com/opt-in/.

Great Lakes Energy members can report their power outage online, on the Great Lakes Energy app, or by calling 888-485-2537.
